The Seven Stars is a large pub about half a mile out of Ripley on the road to Pyrford.
Inside, the pub has a 70s version of a traditional feel to it including a nice collection of horse brasses. But the decor is not naff and I though the pub was welcoming even though there weren’t many customers.
Not surprisingly given its remote location the Seven Stars tends to be more food lead. I didn’t eat but my friend did and his ham, egg and chips looked and tasted good. There’s more to the menu that that though and the prices are reasonable.
The real ale choices are a bit staid but Hogs Back TEA is a local choice and tasted very nice.
Taking advantage of a summer’s evening we sat in the garden behind the pub. As well as the tables out in the open there are some enclosed tables down one side of the garden.
One of the better pubs visited on a cycle tour of Ripley.
