Front view of the Hammersmith Ram
Narrow widthways but long front-to-back, the Hammersmith Ram is an old Young’s pub deep in Fuller’s territory. It’s in King Street in Hammersmith about 300 yards from the Broadway and the tube station.
There are three distinct areas to the pub as you move from the front to the back, and coupled with a small rear garden and some seats out front you should be able to find somewhere to sit that’ll suit you.
The beer are all Well’s and Young’s – expect Ordinary, Special and Bombardier. London Gold was also available on my last visit but I’m not sure if that’s a regular. There are no guest beers that have penetrated into some Young’s pubs lately.
I haven’t eaten at the Hammersmith Ram recently, but food is available and it always used to be good. It’s a great pub to lunch at after a hard morning’s shopping in the Kings Mall opposite.
I’ve always known this pub as the Hammersmith Ram, but there is evidence outside on the side fascia of the pub that it was once called The Builders.
