Situated on the southern end of Tower Bridge this pub is run by Adnams Brewery of Southwold. I think its their only tied house in London.
The pub is a comfortable light and airy pub. It’s mainly all on the one level but there is another room downstairs but it seems seldom used. The emphasis of the pub is mainly on food but when it’s busy it feels more like a proper pub.
Being Adnams’ only London pub it’s no surprise to find that the beers are well-kept. The real ale selection is mainly Adnams own range but there are guest beers – Purity Mad Goose on my last visit.
Food is available lunch times and evenings, but I haven’t eaten here for some time. The food looks very good though. Diners at the next table had the fish and chips and they said it was superb.
