The Knights Templar is a large Wetherspoon’s pub in Chancery Lane.
It’s one of the better Wetherspoon’s pubs and like many bars in the area it used to be a bank. It’s usually easy to get served here as there are plenty of staff. But don’t expect all of the staff to give you any advice about the beers on offer though.
The beers are well-kept and there is a good selection. I recently found some Hophead here, not the Dark Star beer but from the Brewsters brewery of Lincolnshire. See this post: Is it Hophead, or is it Hophead?. They also carried a couple of beers from the new Royal Tunbridge Wells Brewery.
Food is from the standard ‘Spoons menu but I’ve never eaten here.
Definitely worth a try as the pub seems lighter and more airy these days – it used to be a bit gloomy. But there are other good real ale pubs in the area – Seven Stars, Castle etc.

Do not bother. Bar staff is condescending and patronising, which is particularly laughable given that they do not know what products are available for sale. Avoid.
