The Salisbury is a superb traditional wood and mirrors style pub in Covent Garden belonging to the Spirit Group. The striking interior and mouldings outside mark this pub out from others in the area. The staircase at the rear of the bar is most impressive too.
The pub has a lively atmosphere with a good vibe. There is music and the clientelle is mainly young.
The real ale selection is a little staid featuring Young’s Ordinary and Well’s Bombardier. But the presence of Mad Goose from the Purity brewery on my last visit made up for that.
A selection of food is available but I’ve not eaten here.
