The Star Tavern is a Fuller’s pub located in the affluent backstreets close to Belgrave Square.
The pub possesses a laid back atmosphere – and there is no music, no TV, no games machine so good conversation is all you’ll hear. On paper that makes it sound like the Royal Oak in Borough, but things are much calmer here in Belgravia.
Beer selection is straight Fuller’s – with Chiswick, Pride, ESB and Discovery comprising the regular choice apparently. Hock was also available on my last visit, with Festival Mild having been present the week before – so you can assume that other Fuller’s seasonals will appear as well.
The food menu at the Star Tavern is not extensive, but what there is is tasty. Considering its location, both the food and drink are very reasonably priced.
