The Battle of Trafalgar is one of the closest pubs to Brighton station but is situated in a quiet street just up the hill.

The pub has a bar area at the front as you enter but this extends down the left hand side of the bar for quite a way. The end result is that the Battle of Trafalgar is larger than you think it’s going to be. There is also a garden out the back.
Four real ales are usually available. I chose the Harvey’s Best on my last visit which tasted good but perhaps not quite as good as you’d experience in a Harvey’s pub – like the Lord Nelson just the other side of the station. The Harvey’s is constantly available here I believe but the other beers can vary.
Food is available but I’ve not eaten here.
Hopefully I’ll be able to spend a bit longer here next time as the overall feel of the pub was easy-going and friendly.
