Wimborne
Wimborne is an old market town a few miles north of Poole. The streets in the centre still look old and traditional. It has a few good pubs.
Wimborne Minster is worth a visit, as is the model town which shows what Wimborne looked like in a bygone era.

Attractive thatched-roof in the tiny village of Furzehill - just north of Wimborne. And yes, there are some stocks outside the pub.

Eating in Wimborne
The Prezzo in West Borough is good for italian food. And some people like Topogigio in Mill Court (a much more cosy italian pizza place) – but it gets mixed reviews.
