Modern two room Marstons pub with a traditional exterior in the western part of the Chester city centre.
Entering the pub up the steps the small bar is over on the right hand side – with seating areas at the front of the pub and to the left. Following round behind the bar takes you to another seating area on the right hand side. Despite my visit being on a Monday night there were quite a few customers and the atmosphere was friendly.
The real ale selection from the four handpumps was what you expect from a Marstons pub – I had the Jennings Cocker Hoop on my last visit which tasted pretty good.
Food is available but I did not eat here.
