New Mobile Version Has Arrived

In October I posted about my unhappiness with the mobile version of Good Beer, Good Pubs that I had been using for some months. Whilst the plugin that I had used was versatile and easy to setup I didn’t like the appearance and it was hard to fully control which bits of the site were visible.
The new mobile version
Well at last I’m pleased to tell you that the new mobile version has arrived. For the benefit of your mobile bandwidth I decided to strip out most of the frills from the site and focus on just the text with very simple styling.
The content of the page is close to the top just under the list of the main navigation links and the search box. All the other reference links are under the content.
If you’re browsing to the site using a mobile the site should spot that and automatically switch you to the mobile version. This switching can never be 100% perfect so there is a link at the top of each page to switch to the other version – mobile or desktop as appropriate.
