Pub of the Year Presentations at the Harp
Published: Sep 27th, 2010 |
Last week (on Thursday 23rd September) I went to the Harp in Covent Garden for the presentations for Pub of the Year.

Harp, Covent Garden – Great London Pub of the Year
For Bridget (aka Binnie) at the Harp it was a double celebration. Earlier in the year she’d been awarded the West London CAMRA group’s Pub of the Year accolade. More recently in July it was announced that the Harp had been voted CAMRA Greater London Pub of the Year too. Read more about that award here.
The pub was even more crowded then usual in anticipation of the awards which were supposed to be made at 7:30pm. I’m not sure what happened but the awards were not actually made until 8:40pm, but hey… There was a huge scrum as all the bar staff assembled behind the bar for a photo shoot – not the easiest of locations. Craig from the Bree Louise was also there to congratulate Bridget.
It was a great evening catching up with some friends. I’d like to add my congratulations to Binnie at the Harp too. These awards are an appropriate acknowledgement for what is truly one of the best pubs in London.
