Salutation
154 King Street, Hammersmith, London W6 0QU – 020 8748 3668
The Salutation is a spacious Fuller’s pub in King Street opposite Hammersmith and Fulham Town Hall. The exterior is striking with purple enamel tiles and particularly shiny brass light fittings. But the interior is much more modern – with lots of wood and wallpaper as per the latest Fuller’s refurbs.
The bar features a good few handpumps covering the full Fuller’s selection and including Fuller’s London Porter on my last visit. No sign of any Gale’s beer here though. The beers seem well-kept.
Food is available, but I haven’t eaten here in many years.
There’s plenty of room inside the Salutation and the pub opens up towards the back – lit by the skylight and the doors to the garden out the back.
The pub has a good friendly vibe although most people were watching the football last time I was there. It’s a bit of a walk from Hammersmith tube but would be usefully included in a trip that included the Hammersmith Ram and the Dove.
