Large high-ceilinged pub/restaurant located in the Barnsbury area of Islington – about 10 minutes walk north of Angel tube station.
I’m told by a friend who lived in the area that this pub was closed for a number of years – so it’s good to see it open again.
The Drapers Arms seemed busy on my last mid-week visit with evidence that many people had eaten meals. I didn’t eat here but the food looked good.
A couple of real ales were available including Harveys Best. I’m told this tasted OK but a little tired – could have been the end of the barrel I suppose.
I need to pop back sometime to give this pub another go.
