East Dean

East Dean is a small village about 5 miles west of Eastbourne, just off the A259 road towards Newhaven. It’s very close to the cliffs and lighthouse at Beachy Head. Birling Gap is close too – you can get down onto the rocky beach and stare at the row of cottages gradually falling off the cliff due to erosion.

East Dean itself is centred around the village green. East Dean has it’s own website.
